Luwedde Bernadate’s Story

My name is Luwedde Bernadate, born into a family of four.

Life wasn't always easy.

My father passed away when i was just in primary 2,and i was taken in by my uncle . Though he tried to pay my fees, life there was tough, and i often felt out of place .

God however, never left me.  Mother Nicole, together with the sunrise organization, stepped in to support me. They ensured I could continue my education, even when life seemed too heavy to carry. I am forever grateful for them for believing in me and investing in my dreams

Life taught me to hustle early.  I worked small jobs to buy school requirements. These experiences though challenging ,made me resilient, disciplined, and grateful for every little success.

School wasn't just about books, it was about laughter, friendship and memories.

I remember those times when friends and i would sneak little treats during breakfast, or the job of finishing a tough assignment together. Moments that even made the hard days bright.

With the support of Mum Nicole I was able to finish Secondary 4 and am looking forward to finishing my A level and beginning senior carpenter classes, so everyone will admire my success.

To mother Nicole and Sunrise organization, with all the sponsors, thank you for your love and belief in me. You turned my struggle into hope

Even though things are not always working out so well, at least you gave me a foundation 🙏🙏🙏🙏

In my language they say “webale”,which means “Thank you”. Once again I take this opportunity to say Asante and may the Almighty continue blessing and keeping you for me😍😍
