Kirabo Gloria Nicole ~ Our Little Miracle

A Story of Hope….

On the 2nd of January 2018 our lives changed in the most unexpected way. We found a little baby girl abandoned, helpless and barely a month old. We didn’t know her story, or who her parents were. All we knew was that this tiny child needed love, care and a future. From that day on she became part of our family - our beloved sister, a very special gift.

Raising a baby, especially one who came so suddenly, was not easy, but angels appeared at the time when we needed them most. One of those angels was Nicole Van Seters, a generous and kind hearted sponsor. Nicole took it upon herself to ensure that our baby sister had what she needed most in her early days - milk to nourish her growing body and medication to protect her fragile health. Her support came through Grace Family Clinic, which made all the difference, and also brought two more angels; Erna and Oli from Iceland.  They heard Gloria’s story and generously offered to build us a new brick house, with two bedrooms, shuttered windows and an iron sheet roof.

With good health, a safe home and the warmth of our family, our baby sister began to grow into a joyful, curious little girl. When it was time to begin her education, she was enrolled at Sunrise School, where she began her journey in nursery class. The school became another special home for her - a place where her mind could grow as much as her heart.

Today, we are proud to say she’s in primary two, healthy, bright and full of dreams. She loves reading, playing with her friends and learning new things. She carries a special light inside her, a reminder of how she came to us and how deeply she’s loved .

We are grateful to Nicole Van Seters, Oli & Erna and all other sponsors who have walked this journey with us. Your support has given our sister more than milk, medication and a home - you have given her a chance at life, learning and you have given her hope .

As she continues to grow, we kindly ask for your continued support of Sunrise, so she can advance in her education and receive medical care when she needs it. There is still a long journey ahead, but with your help we know she can become anything she dreams to be.

Thank you for being part of her story. Be blessed abundantly for your generosity and compassion ❤️ ~ with love from Kirabo’s big sister Majorine
