May 2025 Second Term Begins!
Welcoming Students Back To Sunrise
The second term has started and students are back after a 3 week holiday. Students are excited to see their friends and teachers and to get back into classroom routines. Our teachers have been prepping and our students have completed their ”holiday homework packages” so there will be a smooth transition back to learning.
Sunrise teachers have installed signs across the compound to spread messages of kindness, cooperation, health and social awareness among learners. We want to encourage our kids to be positive role models in the community, and practice good habits, both at school and at home.
Time for Play
A lot of learning happens at Sunrise but we also make time for play! Because kids are kids…they need to explore, run and discover their own personal interests. Our teachers plan lots of extracurricular activities, including football, netball, basketball, a debate club, dance, music and drama.
Hard At Work
Buiga Sunrise School has limited resources but our teachers do what they can with the materials on hand. They put in a lot of effort to create posters and displays to make their classrooms interesting and their lessons engaging. We appreciate all of the staff for keeping the school compound tidy, the classrooms organized, the kitchen stocked, the sickbay clean and our kids safe!
